Endless Ocean

Looking into the future
Is like looking into the ocean at night.
The dark, endless expanse.
Unable to see what lies on the other side,
Unable to tell what struggles,
Or beauties, lie on the other face of the Earth,
Millions of miles away.

Just like the future:
As much as you wish, or dream,
Or hope, or fear, there is no telling
What tragedies and joys lie ahead.

All you know is that you are in awe,
Standing so small in front of
The expanse of opportunities of
What lies ahead.

All you know is that if you
Stay here, there will be no
Chance to grow.
And Life takes you regardless
Of whether you are ready or not.

Next thing you know,
You're millions of miles
From what you knew,
And still millions of miles
From where you want to be.
Here, anything can happen,
You just don't know what
That anything is yet.
